Nihon University's Policy for Collaboration between Industry, Academia, and Government

Nihon University has established and promotes the following policy for collaboration between industry, academia, and government.

  1. Creation of excellent intellectual properties as a base for collaboration between industry, academia, and government.

  2. Provision of a system with NUBIC at the center for promoting collaboration between industry, academia, and government.

  3. Implementation of consigned and/or joint research, and strengthening of cooperative relationships with industry through the creation of venture businesses.

  4. Obtaining of reliability based on the rules and regulations of the university, such as when there is a conflict of interest.

  5. Contribution to the local community by maintaining a close cooperative relationship with local industry.

  6. Fostering of human resources capable of promoting collaboration between industry, academia, and government.

 

Nihon University's Policy for Intellectual Property

Nihon University has established and promotes the following policy concerning intellectual properties.

  1. Promotion of invention and proactively utilizing the inventions of university staff including professors, teaching personnel, and all employees.

  2. "Intellectual property" shall include inventions, designs and creations that are identified as being intellectual properties.

  3. Inventions are reinvested in the organization.

  4. Vitalization of research activities and contribution to society through the promotion of technological licensing and cooperation with industry.Strict management of intellectual property and maintenance of confidentiality.
